A new music festival to discover in the breathtaking setting of the Alps
Majestic mountains, a magical atmosphere and voices echoing to the summit: the new Diapason Megève Classical Music Festival promises an unusual experience from March 27 to 30, 2025.
This unique event combines prestigious concerts, artistic encounters and intense projections in the heart of the French Alps. A great way to experience the mountains in a different way, vibrating to the rhythm of classical music, with this new program dedicated to classical music: “Classicissime”.
A rich and varied program for all tastes
For four days, Classicissime offers a true musical journey with 10 concerts and 15 performances, spread across the most iconic venues of Megève, such as the Palais Megève or the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
Programming is diverse:
-Mozart Night (27 March): Symphony, opera and concerto with the Orchester des Pays de Savoie, conducted by Pieter-Jelle de Boer, with soprano Chiara Scherth and violinist Manon Galli.
– Piano Night (28 March): Three mini-lessons by keyboard masters, Anne Queffleck, Adam Laloum and Florian Noeck.
– Rev-El Party (29 March): A joyful and intense celebration organized by the group Les Apaches in tribute to Maurice Ravel! Under the direction of Julien Massmondet.

Additionally, opera screenings, music recitals and “pocket concerts” in unusual locations enrich this first edition. Festival visitors can enjoy pleasant moments with a musical brunch, musical tastings and a stroll through the surrounding mountain chapels. To top it all, a major free concert is offered by the Megève Harmony Orchestra.
The festival is also an opportunity to discover or rediscover Megève in a new light. The recently renovated Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church is hosting two intense concerts called Préludes à la Nuit (28 and 29 March). These evenings combine music and dazzling visuals with renowned artists such as the Modigliani Quartet, which received the Diapason d’Or for its album dedicated to Grieg and Smetana.
