Diagnostic Criteria of MDD
Before Diagnosing, carefully check:
- You must experience a change in your previous functioningÂ
- Symptoms must occur for a period of 2 or more weeksÂ
- At least one symptom is either depressed mood or loss of interest or pleasureÂ
- In children, Depressive replace with irritable mood
- Â Unable to gain expected weightÂ

You must also experience 5 or more of the following symptoms in the 2-week period:Â

- Social InteractionÂ
- Other functioning areas
- Never been manic or Hypomanic Episode
